The decision was taken in lieu of the fact that in the current PSL 4 there were empty stadiums in the UAE. This prompted the Prime Minister Iman Khan to confirm that the 2020 Pakistan Super League will be held in Pakistan in its entirety.
The Special Assistant to the PM Naeemul Haq said that the decision was based on the lower then expected turnout at stadiums in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the decision meant that the entire PSL would be held in Pakistan in its entirety next year.
The Special Assitant felt confident that there would be jam packed stadiums if the franchise was brought back to its own home grounds in Pakistan and lauded the PM for making this historic decision.
The chairman of Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi was quick to give his own support via his twitter.
